Samantha’s Seriousness The First Encounter, a first-person shooter developed by Croteam and distributed by Gathering of Developers, was released for Microsoft Windows on March 21, 2001. There are records of it interacting with the outside world as early as 2000. It had been developed since 1996 and initially appeared in records in that year.
Because Croteam originally built this game as a demonstration for their motor, it was rated by several countries at a lower cost than other games in its class. It took until November of last year for the sequel, Serious Sam: The Second Encounter, to be released.
