Rape Day Download: I can only think of two video games that I will never get over being angry at: Rape Day and XCOM. The free availability of this game has caused more debate than any other in the last decade. Finally, STEAM forbade the sale of the sport. It doesn’t take a genius to figure out why this game was so polarising, but let’s dig into it to find out for sure.
The game Rape Day is essentially a visual novel. Not sure why this one was so controversial; maybe it was the painfully on-the-nose title. I’ve played a number of visual novel games before that dealt with a sex crime. Anyway, it seems like we might be dealing with a visual novel game here, but one with 3D graphics rather than 2nd.

If the characters are bad, I won’t like the game, and Rape Day has some of the worst characters I’ve ever seen in a game like this. According to the game, you’re a serial rapist and killer.
To be honest, I like driving about in a stolen automobile as much as the next guy, but this was ridiculous. The setting of the sport, a strange zombie apocalypse on an otherwise peaceful planet, makes for an unusual backdrop.
The offensive language used by the characters is enough to turn anyone off from playing the game. Because of the extreme method by which they would employ it, I find the constant dropping of f-bombs to be completely ludicrous. The game’s premise rests on the idea that all you care about is sex with lowly female characters. This is why sex games are my favorite pastime. But the whole sex crime aspect never interests me, and I don’t see why so many games assume that this is what players desire. This game is so bad that it includes the murder of newborns.
Some of the 3D models used for the game’s characters look off. They all appear to have been coated since their surface is dull and shiny. I’m not sure if the game’s robust material is turning me off or if I’m just not seeing anything in particular that appeals to me visually.
I can’t endorse Rape Awareness Day in any manner. It’s true that I had my reservations about rejoining, but this isn’t my kind of game. I object to any depiction of a sex crime in video games. Do I have a lack of integrity if I go on a killing spree in Grand Theft Auto and then shrug it off? The topic of where the limits are in this game is fundamental. This game transcends my personal discomfort with the topic of the “where the road should be” discussion. Be warned, though, that the many divergent opinions on this game mean it is definitely not safe for work.
